  i like this site (aside from the fact that we have the jw experience in common) because i have come to realize that all of you are very creative, interesting & courageous.

  it takes a special person to exit the jw's.

  we all of course are also very different & thats good because we can learn from each other.

  i've been offered the option of working from 8 pm until 4 am.. pay is a little more.. the only drawback is the drive to and fro.. have you ever done something similar?.

  Years ago I was told that I had the chose of getting laid off or working in a new area of the company but the third shift was my only option I did it for a year but it was really hard I'm not a nght person. Lots of people do it but it wasn't for me.

  Anyone remember this illustration?

  do any of you remember or have heard recently the illustration, "imagine yourself working in the sun on a hot day, you're parched, thirsty, you need a drink.

  would you drink a glass full of water if it had a drop of poison in it?

  no matter how thirsty you are, would you?

  the burning bldg is just about the preaching work being the same as rescuing people from a burning bldg and the starfish is about someone throwing stranded starfish back in the sea & someone questioning them because they can't save them all & their response is how it matters to the few they manage to save as if a couple of saves is better than nothing.

  Do you think you have an accent?

  apparently people ( like me) from the home counties of england don't have an accent, its just english...?.

  for the record i would say my accent is rather like kira knightly.

  I grew up in new jersey went to college in ohio have lived in texas for 35 yrs I 'm not sure what I sound like at this point now I,m going to move to hampton roads in the fall the mix continues.

  Eternal life for flesh and blood creatures

  i was explaining the basic teachings to a non-witness coworker the other day and we began talking about the incident in the garden of eden.

  i told him that according to the society, if adam and eve had not sinned, the world today would be full of perfect human beings who never die.. he then asked "what about the animal kingdom?

  would they be mortal and grow old and die and if so, how would god explain that to humans?".

  the district convention of jehovah's witnesses is coming up in july at the hampton coliseum.

  this was a comment made at the past wt study (6/27).

  from what i know the wt from sunday had something to do with christ (just read title of blondies comments.

  so what was the purpose of such a comment?

  Let me get this straight I'm not really happy now satan is just fooling me into thinking I am I really should feel miserable and when I was a witness I thought I was miserable but I really was happy because satan was not controlling me
